Virtues of Friday

All praise are due to Allah, we praise Him and beseech for His forgiveness, and we seek His refuge from the evils which is within ourselves. Whosoever Allah guide none can lead him astray and whoever is misguide none can guide him except Allah alone who is free from having a partner. And may His infinite and endless peace and blessings be upon Muhammad SAW, his household and those who follows their right path till the Day of reckoning.

      Brothers in Islam; The topic of the sermon today dwells on the “Virtues of Friday”, it rules as well as the things encouraged for a servant to embark. Slaves of Allah! Indeed Allah the omnipotent obligate Friday prayer upon those entails the following qualities, namely;

1. Mature.
2. Male, as it is not compulsory on any female.
3. Not obligatory on any slave person. But obligatory on a "hur" i.e. a person that is not a slave.
4. The person who stays at home and not in a state of journey.
5. Staying in a near place, not the one that has to suffer a hardship for he has to embark on a journey on trying to attend the prayer.
6. Being in a state of good health, for it's not obligatory on a sick person which will find it difficult to go out for it.

ENCOURAGED THINGS ON FRIDAY

Furthermore, is good for one to dress with his precious and presentable garment, trim his nails, shaving the hair regions, using chewing stick (miswaak, and wearing perfume if possible).

But speaking while delivering the sermon is disliked for an authentic narration by Ibn Abbas, said the messenger of Allah (SAW) said; “Whoever speaks in the Jumu'ah while Imam is delivering the khuth'bah is like a donkey who is carrying books, and for he who tells him to be quite, there will be no reward for his Jumu'ah prayer.

after observing Jumu’ah prayer my dear brother in Islam do not perform any voluntary (Nawaafil) immediately, unless after leaving the place, as stated by Mu'aawiyah may Allah grant him peace said; Verily the messenger (SAW) directed us not to perform any prayer after Jumu'ah unless if we talk or leave. (MUSLIM).
